1.     Test Requirements

To test the transmission performance of audio and video from the front-end equipment to the forward command post via the MESH network (including UAV-mounted repeater). The main test items include:

1. Video streaming from the front-end camera to the forward command post;

2. Pull-stream bandwidth from the high-power front-end base station to the forward command post.

3.     Test

3.1 Overview

To test the transmission performance of audio and video from the front-end equipment to the forward command post via the MESH network (including airborne repeater).

3.2 Test Methodology & Environment

Test Method:

One MANET9401 was mounted on a UAV at Point B (Yingrenshi Park).

Additionally, two front-end MANET9101 equipped with a camera were moved in the direction of the Dayan Mountain Tunnel to test the video return performance over an extended range.

Test Environment:

Air-to-ground and urban environments.

 4.     Test Procedure

The test locations are as follows:

At Point C, a laptop and a MANET9201 high-power base station were deployed. At Point B (Yingrenshi Park), a UAV equipped with a MANET9401 airborne radio acted as a relay. At Point A, another laptop and MANET9601 commander station were set up, with two MANET9101 manpack radios and cameras placed further ahead of Point A. The test involved measuring the pull-stream bandwidth from Point C to Point A, while video from the PTZ camera positioned ahead of Point C was returned to the commander station at Point A.

 5.     Test Details

The devices are configured to operate at 1400 MHz with a 20 MHz bandwidth.

1.     To test the pull-stream bandwidth from the high-power base station MANET9201 at Point C to Point A via the airborne relay MANET9401 at Point B.

The transmission from Point C to Point A passes through the relay at Point B, covering a distance of 9.5 km between A and C, with a tested bandwidth of around 20 Mbps.

2.     To test the video return performance from the front-end camera to Point A.

The video stream returns from the front end performs well at point A, with clear, stable, and smooth imagery.

6.     Test Conclusion:

In an urban environment, over a distance of approximately 9.5 km between two points, the audio and video collected by the front-end equipment can be stably relayed back to the remote.
